These Ex- RAF gravity knives are made by Joseph Rogers of Sheffield and up until recently were standard aircrew issue, these Top Quality  knives have a composite handle, curved stainless steel blade and are worn upside down on the Flying Suit leg , the  knife drops out when the spring loaded release grips are activated. These knives are no longer issued to RAF aircrew and are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. These Knives have been issued but most of these items would never have been used or even removed from the scabbard until the Flying Suit was laundered.!
